JDL recently wrapped up an exciting project at 125 High Street, a historic commercial office building in the Financial District of Boston. We worked closely with Studio TROIKA and BALA engineering to complete the upgraded renovation to the massive 47,000 square foot office space.
This renovation was designed to incorporate an engaging and flexible work environment for employees. The floor plan includes areas such as “Heads Down,” “Heads Up,” “Discover,” “Zen,” and many more. Our main goal was to design and build out each area to reflect their purpose.
The custom-made millwork reception desk flows effortlessly into combined stadium seating for employees and visitors to sit comfortably. This staple millwork piece is the first thing seen as entering space and gives a taste of what else is to be found around the office.
The renovation includes three full kitchens, one in which is a completely free-standing millwork kitchen with a floating axiom ceiling above. This kitchen incorporates booths, shelves, and closet space along with all necessary appliances all in one custom made millwork piece. The entire floor plan is bordered by conference rooms ranging from four seats to the largest seating fourteen. This large conference room seating fourteen is enclosed by new Infinium partitions and has sweeping views of the Boston Seaport. Along with conference rooms, many seated and standing huddle rooms are scattered around the floor filled with soft seating to give employees a comfortable environment to collaborate.
We are grateful to have worked with everyone involved on this project, it wouldn’t have been such a success without the team effort that was put into it!
