JDL was engaged to fit out 20k square feet for Altman Vilandrie & Company’s new Boston headquarters. The build out for this business management consulting firm took place at 101 Federal Street in Boston’s Financial District.
The reception area features a wood-effect tiled accent wall that serves as a backdrop for signage. The communal kitchen area includes a neutral-colored open ceiling concept that is contrasted with bright orange sprinkler piping. A raised tiered platform was constructed to serve as a space for discussions and speeches. Flexible furniture systems were used in order to allow for it to be rearranged to support a variety of meeting and gathering types.
Throughout Altman Vilandrie’s suite there are many notable finishes including curved flooring transitions, polished concrete, exposed ceilings, acoustical ceiling clouds with axiom trim and angular glass and wall details at conference rooms. A heavy focus was given to technology in this space, as evidenced by the video conferencing systems and workspace scheduling interfaces noticed throughout.
Yellows and blues were used throughout the suite to accent the otherwise neutral palette and create a striking pop of color.
