JDL worked with Cresa, ExaGrid, Fusion Design Consultants, and NV5 Engineers on this complex fit out for the data storage company in Marlborough.
The 40k square foot facility includes two new data centers with complex cooling systems to counteract the heat produced by dozens of server racks. A generator service as well as a flywheel UPS system were installed to provide the space with instant as well as extended power in the event of an emergency.
The JDL team facilitated the installation of over one hundred and twenty thousand linear feet of data cabling to support the needs of the new office and data centers. A new electrical bus duct system was installed to provide flexible power distribution within the labs. Specialty fire suppression systems were used to protect the expensive equipment and the data contained within.
The reception area features a uniform drywall ceiling and a light wood-look vinyl flooring – giving the space an upscale appearance. Within the office space new board rooms and meeting spaces were built to support internal operations and client meetings. Each of the 165 new workstations needed their own dedicated power circuit and three (3) different networks.
