480 Totten Pond Road, Waltham

In partnership with Boston Properties, CBRE, Visnick & Caulfield, and WB Engineering, JDL completed the 75,000 sq foot tenant fit out for Imprivata, located at 480 Totten Pond Road in Waltham MA.

Construction included connecting via a massive staircase that terminates in the communal café area onto a raised platform with stadium seating.  The seating area integrates spaces for impromptu gatherings and can accommodate large company gatherings and events.

The fit out also includes high end finishes such as demountable partitions and glass fronts throughout and a pantry with a 14′ long quartz island.

A custom wood slat ceilings flows from the reception area through to the open staircase where it is highlighted by massive tiered rectangular light fixtures – finished in Imprivata’s signature red color. Multiple coffee/cafe stations can be seen throughout the office to provide spaces for employees to grab refreshments and socialize.

The lighting package included 24 different types of light fixtures, many of which were custom designed and fabricated for this space. The first-generation space received an entirely new mechanical system with highly efficient cooling and heating technology.

A variety of flooring types were used throughout the space including carpet in the offices, polished concrete in the hallways, and wood and luxury vinyl tile in the pantry. The elevator lobbies were also completed as a part of construction and received custom details including millwork elevator surrounds.
