JDL was engaged by Piper Sandler to fit out a new office for the expanding investment bank and asset management firm.
The design features a number of high end and custom details that needed to be closely coordinated in order to ensure they were executed properly.
Custom oak-framed office and conference room fronts were designed to surround the full-height glass. This custom oak-cladding was repeated in designing a custom oak cover for the perimeter heating element in the board room.
In the reception area, a multi-tiered staggered ceiling with integrated linear light fixtures provides a dramatic canopy above the custom stone reception desk. Stone and tile products were used on floors and walls throughout the space to provide an elevated appearance.
A mix of ceiling types – ranging from open and exposed decking to floating drywall clouds – give the space a dynamic feeling and provide visual interest. The wide variety of materials used throughout the space provide a balance between traditional and modern materials – the end result is an elegant, yet playful office space.
