JDL is proud to unveil a transformative renovation of the Lobby & Café spaces at 1 Van de Graaff Drive in Burlington, MA.

1 Van de Graaff Drive is a six-story, 162-thousand square foot, Class-A office building that is home to some of the world’s most prominent companies. The lobby features a towering atrium that extends over 75’ from the ground floor to the skylights above – one of the many challenges that the JDL team broached as part of this project.

This exciting new project includes major upgrades to the building’s main lobby and a full renovation and modernization of the building café. These improvements bring first-class amenities to the tenants including a full-service coffee bar, gourmet food offerings, and flexible work and collaboration spaces. High end wood paneling, neon signage, custom metal work, and one of a kind art installations were some of the intricate details that the JDL team brought to life in this major transformation.

Lobby upgrades in occupied buildings are challenging, but our team has extensive experience in executing these types of projects while prioritizing safety and mitigating potential impacts to operations. JDL dedicated six months of preconstruction efforts to careful planning and preparation prior to mobilizing on this project.  It was important to develop a logistical approach that allowed for the building to remain fully operational and minimize any disruptions.

A full modernization of the commercial kitchen allows for tenants to enjoy the highest quality of food and beverage selections possible. The open lobby area also received a brand new coffee and quick service bar area – activating a previously quiet and unengaging space with activity.
