JDL Attends BOMA Boston TOBY & Industry Awards.

A handful of the JDL team members attended the 2022 BOMA Boston TOBY & Industry Awards at the Omni Hotel in Boston this past Thursday 11/17/22. JDL was thrilled to be the wine sponsor at and event that honors the incredible Commercial Read Estate Industry! It was great to be able to celebrate with colleagues, friends and clients.

The BOMA Boston TOBY & Industry Awards recognize the best and brightest in property management, building operations and service in the Commercial Real Estate Industry. Members from all over the state come together to find out who will win the coveted TOBY + Industry Awards. There are 17 categories for TOBY Awards, and 10 categories for the Industry Awards. Since the TOBYs are nationally recognized, the Local winners move on to the Regional competition, and hopefully the International competition.

BOMA started off the night with a cocktail hour and an hors d’oeurvres spread outside of the ballroom. Everyone from the industry mingled and when it was time to go inside, we all found our tables and ate our first course. As the wine sponsor of the night, we had a JDL logo stem tag on every wine glass at every table. Once the first 10 awards were handed out, we ate a delicious dinner and then continued with the next 15 awards to finish out the night.  

The awards are split into two categories, the Building Awards and Industry Awards. Some examples of the Industry Award Categories are as followed: Rising Professional of the Year, Property Manger of the Year – for Low-Rise, Mid-Rise, High-Rise, and Suburban, Facility Manager of the Year, Engineer of the Year, Chief Engineer of the Year, Affiliate Member of the Year, and Affiliate Company of the Year. The Building Award Categories are: Under 100,000 SF, 100,000-249,999 SF, 250,000-499,999 SF, 500,000-1 Million SF, Over 1 Million SF, Corporate Facility, Earth Building, Historical Building, Industrial Office Building, Laboratory Building, Medical Office Building, Mixed Use, Renovated Building, Suburban Office Park – Low-Rise and High Rise. 

JDL works alongside many of the industries finest in the Real Estate community. JDL attends the event to connect and conversate with colleagues within our industry and to support all the property managers, engineers and service providers. We love being able to celebrate their hard work.  We are so happy for everyone that took home awards!
