Welcome to the Team: Meet JDL’s Newest Additions! 

As part of our continued growth and commitment to operational excellence, JDL is pleased to welcome seven new members to our team! These individuals bring a wealth of experience, diverse expertise, and a shared dedication to our core values. Their addition strengthens our capabilities across key areas and supports our ongoing mission to deliver outstanding results for our clients and partners. We’re excited for the future and what we can accomplish together.

Meet our seven new incredible employees!

Omar Malkawi, Director of Higher Education

Omar joins us with over eight years of experience as an Owner Project Manager at Terva Corporation, where he focused primarily on projects at Northeastern University. With a Master’s Degree in Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology, Omar brings a deep understanding of higher education projects and a passion for innovative design and construction solutions.

Michael Callahan, Senior Project Manager

Michael brings more than 15 years of experience in the construction industry, having worked as a Project Manager at J. Calnan & Associates in Quincy and an Assistant Superintendent at Nauset Construction Corporation in Needham. A graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Michael is well-equipped to lead projects with precision and efficiency.

Daniel Giacalone, Assistant Project Manager

Daniel comes to JDL with experience as an Assistant Project Manager at James J. Welch & Co. and has interned at B.W. Kennedy in Arlington. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology, Daniel is well-prepared to contribute his expertise to our projects.

Matthew Egan, Assistant Superintendent

Matthew joins us with experience from NOBLE Supply & Logistics as an Inside Sales Representative and Paragon Landscape Construction INC. as an Assistant Laborer to Foreman Operator. A Cum Laude graduate of Saint Michael’s College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration & Political Science, Matthew brings a strong work ethic and dedication to every project.

Sam Hood, Marketing & Operations Coordinator

Sam re-joins the JDL team as the Marketing & Operations Coordinator, leveraging his previous experience as a JDL Marketing Intern and his role as a Digital Marketing Specialist at Stonewood Products in Harwich, MA. He is currently in his last semester at Bryant University, finishing up his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Sam’s expertise in digital marketing will drive impactful strategies for JDL.

Grace Hobin, Project Coordinator

Grace previously worked as a Presales Consultant Intern at Ultimate Kronos Group in Lowell. She earned her Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a focus on Operations & Information Management from UMass Amherst, Isenberg School of Management. Grace’s strong analytical and organizational skills ensure efficient project execution and client satisfaction.

Jake Good, Project Manager

With experience as an Estimator, APM, and PM at BLOCK Builders, Inc., Jake brings a strong foundation in project management. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a Finance concentration from Clark University. Jake’s leadership and financial expertise make him a key asset in delivering successful projects.
