JDL Breaks Ground on Repositioning of 360K SF Weston Corporate Center 

After being engaged for a year of preconstruction planning, JDL recently broke ground on the repositioning of Weston Corporate Center.



A Year of Planning and Partnership

JDL was engaged for preconstruction in January of 2024 to assist BXP in evaluating plans to reposition the 360K square foot campus.

Over the following months, the team has been working closely with ownership and design partners to review concepts, explore cost-effective strategies, and map out a construction plan that made sense for the building’s future. This early collaboration helps shape a clear vision and set the tone for a smooth transition from planning to construction.

Reimagining a Single-Tenant Space

Formerly occupied by a single office client, the building is being renovated to support multiple new office clients. The work includes two new main lobbies, a new cafeteria, a fitness center and locker rooms, as well as an extensive amenities package.

This transformation gives the building a new identity, one that’s more in line with today’s expectations for flexibility and convenience. JDL’s team understands what tenants are looking for and works to ensure every space is designed with comfort, and long-term functionality in mind.

Outdoor Spaces That Invite Connection

The exterior grounds of the building are receiving major upgrades including outdoor event spaces, fire pits, turf & landscaping, a pickleball court, as well as an observation deck cantilevered over a sprawling quarry.

These enhancements will create a more dynamic campus and offer new ways for tenants to connect with the environment and each other. JDL has been working with landscape designers and consultants to bring these features to life in a way that complements the building’s new direction.

Careful Execution in an Active Building

Significant effort and expertise is involved in developing logistics and safety plans to ensure the major renovations are completed without disruption within the partially occupied building.

With existing office clients still onsite, JDL has approached the project with a sharp focus on safety, coordination, and timing. This includes detailed planning around deliveries, noise control, and access routes. Keeping everyone informed and the job running smoothly is a top priority.
