JDL Corporate Interiors recently completed a challenging, yet rewarding, project for APG at 1180 Beacon Street, designed by David Saltzman and C3 Engineers. Working within the shell of a 1920’s era building, JDL was able to provide APG with a modernized space that preserved the building’s original charm.
The project was technically complex, with various challenges posed by the age of the building. The team encountered terracotta walls behind drywall in several locations, requiring careful planning and execution to overcome. Extensive plumbing work was also needed for all the exam rooms that were added.
After successfully navigating this build out, APG has been able to open this brand-new medical office in a historic building. JDL was able to meet the technical challenges while mitigating potential impacts to schedule and the project budget. This project was especially rewarding for JDL because we were able to simultaneously kick off another medical office project for APG in nearby Medfield. We are lucky to have a number of successful projects with this longstanding client under our belt.
JDL is proud to have demonstrated our ability to provide quality service and deliver successful projects that meet clients’ needs, regardless of the challenges.
