The objective of the JDL Excel Co-op Program is to introduce students to various roles within the organization. In this role, students will gain knowledge of and assist in daily activities in the Marketing Department, while sometimes working alongside the Estimating Department, Project Management Team, & Field Operations. While working in the JDL Corporate Interiors, Inc. Excel CO-OP program, you will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Team with various tasks to ensure project success by being a major contributor and content creator to JDL’s social platforms, including our website and marketing materials.
The following schedule will occur during your CO-OP:
Four-five days a week you will be working with the Marketing Coordinator either in the office or on-site taking video and photo footage for all social platforms.
Assist with the production of one long format (15-30 minute) video per month. Video to be hosted on company Website, Vimeo and Youtube.
During the production of this video, associated media will be used to create the following:
· (2) 30 sec-1 min clips weekly are pulled directly from the video episode (published weekly)
· 1 min Highlight edit
· 15 second vertical promo video
· Photography – 10 detail and illustrative photos to be taken during filming
· Written educational blog post
In addition to Marketing related projects, other tasks may include:
Helping run the social media accounts – Instagram and LinkedIn
Going on-site to take photos and videos of current construction projects
Assist in creating content to post 5-7x a week
Assist in blog posts, website updates
Assist in organizing marketing materials and folders
Assist in merchandise creation and designing
Assist in marketing materials editing and creation
Assist in setting up quarterly newsletters and company data base
Collect marketing and social media analytics to add to data base
Help with administrative and estimating tasks as needed.

Photography and Videography Experience
Editing abilities and skills in Creative Cloud, Canva, PowerPoint and Social Media Platforms – Specifically: InDesign, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, LinkedIn and Instagram
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively within and outside of the organization
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong creative mindset
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Desire to learn about the fast-paced construction industry
Ability to travel within Boston and surrounding towns
