Our team is thrilled to be starting up an exciting new project renovating the Lobby & Café at 1 Van de Graaff Drive in Burlington, MA.

1 Van de Graaff Drive is a six-story, 162-thousand square foot, Class-A office building that is home to some of the world’s most prominent companies. The property features a towering atrium that extends over 75’ from the ground floor to the skylights above.

This exciting new project includes major upgrades to the building’s main lobby and a full renovation and modernization of the building café. These improvements will bring first-class amenities to the tenants including a full-service coffee bar, gourmet food offerings, and flexible work and collaboration spaces. High end wood paneling, neon signage, custom metal work, and one of a kind art installations are all part of the plan for this major transformation.

Lobby upgrades in occupied buildings are challenging, but our team has extensive experience in executing these types of projects while prioritizing safety and mitigating potential impacts to operations. JDL has dedicated six months of preconstruction efforts to the careful planning an preparation for a successful project.

The upgrades include a custom stadium seating area that will serve as a communal gathering place for people to collaborate and socialize. A full modernization of the commercial kitchen will allow for tenants to enjoy the highest quality of food and beverage selections possible. The open atrium is planned to receive a illuminated geometric art installation that will be visible from every floor of the building.
