JDL is thrilled to get to sponsor another year of the Thompson Island Outward Bound 4K Trail Run. The race is held in Boston Harbor and helps to support the group’s initiatives that serve the city’s youth.  As a Champion Sponsor – JDL Corporate Interiors is proud to have been supporting the event for over 10 years now.  

Thompson Island Outward Bound’s core mission is to build stronger, more equitable school communities by delivering free experiential learning programs that boost academic success and foster personal growth. They are a proud member of the network of 11 Outward Bound schools in the U.S. with a shared mission to change lives through challenge and discovery. All of their programs blend academic and social-emotional learning with outdoor adventure. When they challenge the student’s minds, hearts, and bodies, they are able to mine inner strengths and capabilities, realizing all they are and all they can become. Thompson Island offers programs for Boston public middle school and high school students, fee-for-service programs for school and youth groups, and leadership development programs for professionals.

Not only does the event benefit a great cause – it is also one that the JDL team looks forward to attending each year. The activities start with a ferry ride over to the island along with hundreds of other companies in the Boston area. The companies gear up for a run around the island and are treated to food, beverages, games, and fun following the run!
