This space was conceived and executed with a clear goal in mind: to honor the B.A.A.’s rich history while creating a high-performing, modern workplace that supports the needs of a dynamic organization.

The office layout strikes a balance between private offices and open workspaces, giving employees the flexibility to work independently or collaboratively. Sound-mitigating phone rooms offer quiet zones for calls and focused tasks, while custom design elements throughout the space reflect the B.A.A.’s mission and values.

A standout feature is the custom trophy display, showcasing the organization’s historic accomplishments. The conference room, with a direct view of the marathon finish line, reinforces the powerful connection between the B.A.A.’s daily work and its world-renowned event. At the heart of the office is a central kitchen, complete with a marathon countdown clock, designed to spark connection and build energy throughout the year.

Despite the challenges of building in a high-traffic, high-profile location, the project was completed on time and under budget. Through detailed planning and skilled execution, JDL delivered a space that not only meets the functional needs of the B.A.A. but also serves as a proud tribute to its past, present, and future.
