Cresa

280 Congress Street, Boston

JDL was engaged by Cresa to build out their new Boston headquarters on the 10th floor of Atlantic Wharf.  Atlantic Wharf is a mixed use building that is prominently located right along Boston’s Fort Point Channel.  The magnificent water views served as inspiration for the build out – with one of the goals being to maximize them as much as possible.

The build out worked to balance a modern and open floor plan by creating a large variety in the types of workspaces.  A large café was created to serve as a place for communal gatherings and impromptu collaboration.  Smaller and more intimate meeting spaces were created to provide employees with a place to focus.

The reception area features a slatted wood ceiling that extends through the glass entry doors and into the common corridor.  This gives the space immediate identity to visitors and employees as soon as they get off the elevators.  A digital display has been recessed behind the back painted glass wall paneling in this area, just one small example of the way in which technology was heavily prioritized in this office.
