Hinckley Allen

28 State Street, Boston

JDL executed a re-stack and expansion of Hinckley Allen’s 57K square foot Boston headquarters in Boston’s Financial District.

The design team drew inspiration from the towering views of the surrounding city and of the neighboring waterfront.  Creating a large reception and conference center that would impress incoming clients was a crucial goal of this project.  The resulting space is one that can accommodate a wide variety of events and meetings – both formal and informal.

Much of the focus of this project was to give the dark and antiquated space a brighter and more inviting modern appearance.  The build out features some challenging characteristics including a dense and office-heavy layout, extremely high-end finishes, and intricate specialty items such as skyfold partitions that retract into the ceiling above.

JDL dedicated over 6 months of pre-construction services to keep Hinckley Allen’s major project in line with their budget and occupancy goals.   JDL developed and implemented a logistics plan that allowed the law firm to remain fully operational during the extensive multi-level build out.
